BALERCONTROL III

Even functional safe machines need to be correctly operated, controlled and monitored. Besides using proven mechanical devices, WELGER employs the advanced electronic bale control system, BALERCONTROL III. The most important functions can be controlled from the tractor so that, for example, twine or net wrapping can be initiated automatically or manually. Of course, the display can be easily read during work on the large illuminated screen. The function buttons are also illuminated to allow operation at night.

VARIONET net wrapping (take over from RP 320) Further development of the proven Welger net wrapping system has produced the following advantages:

* Clear arrangement on the machine = direct access to net insertion, serial place for two net rolls; simple functional monitoring for maintenance work;
* Net insertion over wide guiding device between two pressing rollers - smooth net insertion even without crop feed;
* Exact guidance of net roll by means of a special tightening device;
* Functional safety, smooth net separation without fringes after wrapping (Welger patent);
* Bale is covered up to and over the bale shoulder (no bale loss during transport and storage);
* Can be initiated automatically or manually, greater baling performance due to automatic triggering;
*Reserve net roll arranged via pick up = simple net roll change

VARIOTWIN double twine wrapping (take over from RP 320) The most spectacular feature of the patented VARIOTWIN system is the control of the speed of thread guiding through the variator disc on feeding drive. During automatic operation of the wrapping process, the variator disc changes the feeding speed of the twine-guiding device, so that there are enough edge windings even in the case of longer twine winding distances. In this way, critical crop can be wrapped with quick feed, without the bale ends falling apart. This increases safety and saves time end money.

Welger designed the wrapping devices so that twine and net wrapping can be combined. This can result in up to 30% saving in the cost of wrapping material.

HYDROFLEXCONTROL the feed table with active rotor protection (patent pending)
The HYDROFLEXCONTROL feed fable is a very practically orientated new development. In the case of HYDROFLEXCONTROL the feed table is not rigidly welded to the baler mounting as in the case of traditionally designed balers, instead it is elastically suspended at the front. In this way the feed table can move slightly to avoid small stones or lumps of crop, thus avoiding any blockage of the feed rotor. The "breathing" feed table is a safe operating device which reduces the risk of damage to important machine components and thus avoids unnecessary work interruptions.

Additionally the HYDROFLEXCONTROL feed table can be opened and closed from the tractor with two hydraulic cylinders. This has advantages, not only for changing the knives of the cutting device machines, but also in the case of more major blockages the feed table is simply opened a little and the rotor conveys the baling material through the expanded feed table into the bale chamber.

For contractors and farmers who have to cover considerable distances to do their baling work the RP 220 SPEEDMASTER and the RP 220 SPEEDPROFI represent two fast models with which it is possible to drive on normal highways as well as motorways. In addition to a compressed air braking system, the design includes an axle construction specially designed for round balers.

Optional equipment

For extraordinary working conditions, i.e. baling of wet silage, when silage liquids may enter the heavy-duty bearings, Welger recommend greasable bearings. Using the central lubrication unit regularly increased reliability and longer lifetime of the baler can be achieved. This equipment is available as option for FARMER and MASTER, in PROFI it is fitted as standard equipment.
