Stability without compromise-

top performance during silage

POWERSPLIT - main gearbox with split power drive (WELGER patent) Angular gears and transverse shafts ore arranged together in one gearbox housing and run in an oil bath. The separate drive of rotor and bale chamber can transmit heavy loads very efficiently. The angular gears and shaft bearing align perfectly even under heavy loads and cannot be damaged as a result of torsion tension. As a result, all components hove long service lives and require less power from the tractor.
POWERGRIP Heavy duty steel rollers with the gripping ribbed profile.The new patented baling rollers made from high-quality, thick-walled steel tube with 10 ribs make possible the excellent baling properties of the RP 220. This system can take up to 20 % more loads and has more "grip".

Heavy silage can be handled and extremely dry straw can be baled!

Baling chamber without compromise;

The baling chamber of the new RP 220 has rollers all around. As a result of this design together with the POWERGRIP heavy-duty steel rollers, extremely high baling densities are possible. Moreover, this system will continue to rotate the bale, even in dry crops.
Optimum roller diameter;
The diameter of the rollers is extremely small, owing to which strength is increased and power demand reduced. The material loss is also reduced by the fact that rollers are placed very close together.

Mechanical tailgate locking
The integrated mechanical tailgate locking in WELGER machines is another precondition for high baling density. A secure catch makes sure that only the operator opens the tailgate even when extremely high bale density has been achieved.

POWERGRIP is the name for
* Greater baling of crop;
* Improved silage quality:
* Fewer bales - lower twine and film costs;
* No slippage in the case of smooth, dry and brittle straw;
* Maximum strength even with very heavy bales;
* Wide pick up

Just how well the pick up clears crop determines the working quality of balers. By integrating a 2.00 m (PROFI = 2.25 m) wide pick-up into its systems, WELGER takes into consideration the ever increasing working widths of mowers and balers. We can proudly show this system. The pick up is lifted by two directly coupled hydraulic rams with no linkages or cables, which can wear easily,

The closely arranged pick-up tines are mounted with additional spring support plates. There are no bushes to wear, Ball bearings are used to ensure smooth and quiet operation. The newly designed steel camtrack retracts the tines from the crop without any shearing effects, especially important for silage. These high-quality parts help to make sure that the crop is cleanly picked up and that the machine has a long service life.
MASTERCUT and PROFICUT
WELGER have developed cutting systems for the new RP 220 round baler which can meet all demands.

A large, Rotor together with the new stable knives ensures that the crop is cut up to a length of 4.5 cm.

The especially stable knives ore hydraulically protected against overload.

You can change the knives without tools and thus quickly set the desired cutting length.

The knife holder is equipped with double-acting hydraulic cylinders, with which the knives can be placed into position even if the knife slots are blocked with material.

The MASTERCUT cutting system has 12 knives, while the PROFICUT cutting system has 23 knives for cut up to 4.5 cm. In both cutting systems, the material is cut so short that it can be easily processed in food mixers.
